Description of the traffic separation scheme
The traffic separation scheme in the approaches 10 Veracruz, Mexico,
consists of two parts:
Part 1: East Approach: Recommended for vessels entering
or leaving the port of Veracruz.
(a) A separation zone bounded by a line connecting the following
geographical positions:
(1) 19°14'.00 N, 95°45'.00 W
(2) 19°14'.00 N, 95°53'.43 W
(3) 19°12'.50 N, 95°53'.43 W
(4) 19°12'.50 N, 95°45'.00 W
(b) A separation zone bounded by a line connecting the following
geographical positions:
(5) 19°11'.50 N, 95°45'.00 W
(6) 19°11'.50 N, 95°53'.43 W
(7) 19°10'.90 N, 95°53'.43 W
(8) 19°10'.90 N, 95°46'.60 W
(c) A traffic lane for westbound traffic is established between
separation zone (a) and a line connecting the following geographical positions:
(9) 19°15'.00 N, 95°45'.00 W
(10) 19°15'.00 N, 95°53'.43 W
(d) A traffic lane for eastbound traffic is established between
separation zone (a) and separation zone (b).
Part II: North Approach: Recommended for vessels entering or leaving
the port of Veracruz.
(a) A separation zone bounded by a line connecting the following
geographical positions:
(11) 19°19'.00 N, 95°59'.62 W
(12) 19°15'.00 N, 95°59'.62 W
(13) 19°15'.00 N, 95°58'.05 W
(14) 19°19'.00 N, 95°58'.05 W
(b) A traffic lane for southbound traffic is established between the
separation zone and a line connecting the following geographic positions:
(15) 19°19'.00 N, 96°00'.65 W
(16) 19°15'.00 N, 96°00'.65 W
